Glory to God

Every blessing you pour out I'll turn back to praise. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the GLORY.  God blesses us each and everyday. With our daily breath, our life, our success, and even our failures.  Everything he gives us we must turn back to him. Let my words bring life, let my words bring truth. I don't want to say a word unless it points the world back to You. That last sentence, yes read it again. Nothing I want to do I'll do unless it glorifies God above. When we win we praise him. When we lose we praise him. God is such a jealous God wanting nothing more than praise for us in exchange for His love. Praising Him is so easy too! Gives me the chills haha. Our God is so good. Thanks be to him for today and all days.

I will give everything.

My life is solely dedicated to you Lord Jesus. I will live according to your word. For you are almighty, eternal, Lord of lords. I will represent the Son of the Most High revealing all of His mysteries. He was born as a man came to life and suffered and died for everyone on this good earth. Go and make disciples of all nations. Jesus Christ is Lord and his love covers multitudes of sins. Praise Him with everything.

Maybe back

Take me to the core of my being. Redefine my shine. Don't let me speak a word that doesn't point the world back to you. Sanctify us Lord. For you have washed away our sins with the blood of the Lamb.

Glory to You

Thank you God for blessing each and every individual touched by You. Allow them to see you in everything they do! Thanks for being the best thing that ever happened in and to our lives. We love you Jesus.

Where are your eyes?

If our eyes are set on things above and not on what we have in this life then how can we falter?...how can we..not know forgiveness? In Isaiah 45:22 God simply states "Look to me and be saved..." Can you believe this?? We simply have to look to God just a glance and His marvelous splendor and we are saved! Just a glimpse of His son hanging their and we can be sure that we are saved by grace. What joyous news! Where have your eyes/mind been lately? Has it been focused on exceeding in the one sport or subject or game or just not giving time for Him? Take time to focus and look to God today. "Look to Me and be saved" and know that He is the Lord your God! King of creation, Lord of Lords, Prince of Peace. Look to God!!!

Whispering

He was not in the wind, He was not in the earthquake, He was not in the fire. He was in the gentle whisper. We all have busy lives and most days we don't even take time to listen to our parents to take out the trash let alone listen to God. God comes in a whisper so if you are expecting a flaming chariot from above...tough chance! How can you expect to see God in the big of life when you can't even feel Him in the small? Pray in all circumstances. ALL of them! No matter how tiny or how big. Give your best in all things for His glory! And you shall be richly rewarded in the future aka eternal life.

Get back here

Do not turn from me Oh God. I cherish every moment my body catches your gaze. I only find peace in Your presence. No other earthly relationship is worth seeking if it is not given from You oh God. Fill every part of me with Your being and drown me in Your presence. Do not hide your face from me when I fail to follow Your will. Cling to me as You always have and help me find my only joy in You! Show me how far the east is from the west! Lord fill me with your spirit. Help me to breath your fire on to everyone around me. You are my rock Lord God, my strong fortress. Place onto me all the armor of Your being. Sanctify me and make me holy! I long for you oh Lord. Thousands of moments without You could never be as fulfilling as a single one that comes from you. I earnestly focus on leaving my hand open to you only taking what you give. Guide me in Your plan for my life. Thank you Lord, thank you.

This day.

Today, today is the day our Lord and Savior was hung on that tree for us. Each of the thorns in his crown the crown of  the perfect king, each of the nails in his hands and feet. They represent our sins and everything evil we have done to or against Him. This day Jesus Christ died for each and every human being on this good earth to save them from eternal damnation in hell. This is the one day that I look forward to each year. Not to be down about anything but to feel that assuring gift and presence of what God has done for me personally. My yoke is heavy and Christ upon that cross took the weight of the world on His back and lightened each and everyone of our loads. What a great and powerful God we have. I am thankful for this day. Jesus thank you for doing what you knew had to be done for us.

Thank you. Sing, smile, mirror.

Thank you God for making each day of mine brighter. For everyone and everything You put in my life. Thank You for giving me my daily breath and the words to help those who need it. I pray You keep giving me words to praise words that will sing loud among the nations and resonate Your love. In my thoughts thank you for making me smile and making my thoughts smile. And finally help me in everything I do to mirror You and what You've done for us on that tree.  Make my heart leap for joy at the sound of Your mighty name Lord. Let all who hear this know they are fearfullly and wonderfully made and we are the clay and God is the potter and He is molding our lives perfectly.  Thank you Jesus.

Purpose

My utmost for His highest, my best for His glory. Both amazing phrases to live by. Give all glory to the good Lord and be complete. Driven by God has got to be the most amazing thing ever. Just giving your entire life, be it your actions or your thoughts or words that have been said or left unsaid, to God is so relieving and so inspiring. I find myself sleeping sounder but also waking up early and not wanting to leave my bed until I have focused or pinned God down if you will so that my thoughts and actions mirror His during the day.  Pray in everything is also. EVEN THE LITTLE THINGS!!! You see those people that look stressed pray for God to grant them peace. See a car accident, pray for healing or well being and life, but most importantly pray that those who may have passed in those tragedies see the shining face of Jesus. Pray in absolutely everything and devote your life, your longing to be with God. I love it! LOVE EVERYONE! Okay I'm hyper with God right now so if this don't make sense oops! GOD is our purpose! Spreading his good news is our Purpose! Give your best for His glory and fulfill your purpose.

Forgiveness.

This is hard.

When everything goes wrong and you are too lost in your thoughts to turn to God is the best time to. It's really difficult to turn to God for answers when sadness or longing or hurt come into your life.  How long should we wait in the dark for a quiet whisper? How long do we have to be sad? Do we wait and sit in the dark when Christ is in the light? I don't want to be in the dark. It's difficult to search for the light when life's struggles come around you. I've heard the analogy of clouds and how God is in them. I guess that means that on the most dreary days, the days filled with the most sadness, we should turn to Him. That can be very difficult though I'm not gonna lie. But still trying is better than sitting around doing nothing.

Don't be mad. Get glad.

If you are angry ask God for peace. You have no idea how alleviating it is to know God is in control. Let go of your anger towards others cast aside those thoughts and be at peace. If you are gonna be an example for others in Christ do not be held to sin for Christ has over come sin, death and the devil. Let go of anger, jealousy, despair, sadness. Just let go and let God take over.

Can you hear me?

Often we find ourselves asking this about God, "Can You hear me?" Well the answer is yes! God can hear you in fact he hears you and listens to you all the time. When we complain, rejoice, complain some more. He listens. And do we ever stop and think? Do I hear You? When have we stopped to hear that gentle whisper that is calling to us in the light? I've often noticed that if a person giving a speech or a lecture talks very gently people listen closer and learn more because they want to hear what this person is saying. Now put that into a Godly perspective; God whispers so we need to listen carefully and move a little bit closer to him to hear what he is saying! It may take a long, long time but once we do hear Him we become very humbled saying Lord how long did I stumble around in the dark while you called out to me? I will be better about listening for you in the ups and downs of life.

Since God is listening let us pray:
Lord God heavenly Father hear us now as we offer our words to you. Deliver us from this darkness, be it of doubt, confusion, grief, negativity, or just all around sin. Help us to draw closer to you as we walk and talk with you, all the way to Your glory. Guide us to show others the good news and give us the ability to hear You in all things. In Your name we pray. Amen.

Yes a little Poetry

Lord help this weary soul

draw me close to you so I may become whole

take this traveler from this place

so he may feel your warm embrace

show him the power of your word

so nothing in his heart is left unturned 

show me the true picture of grace

so that I may look upon your face

guide me with your staff and rod

and never let my footsteps lost be trod

Make me realize that through the cross

you beat up satan like a boss

show me how to love like you

the love that experiences so very few

grant me peace that I may be

here with you eternally.

Darkness. Wait, we have light.

Walking in darkness is terrible. Feeling so confused misguided and unknowing of what your drive in life is. This darkness comes and keeps plaguing the body and soul trying to drive yourself away from the great love of God. You turn to earthly things that hold no value in this life, looking for some passion to come out of this little movement. Still nothing. Jesus break and restore me! It feels like you've hid your face! Do not turn away from me Lord God. I will wrestle you as Jacob did, relentlessly fighting for your face to shine on my and my body and actions to mirror yours.  Hear my cries Lord listen to my heart and head plead for you for nothing on this earth will satisfy this desire for you! Bring me broken and contrite and trusting in your Son to sustain my life. Lord help me from this rut I'm in only You can help me through this trial! Rid me of this sin and shove satan back to where he belongs. Help me Lord. Show me your light for your light shines in the darkest darkness. Nothing can hold back You when you shine in our bodies! Gaze upon me Lord!

Just water? No! We need soap too!

If our heart was broken for every time we broke God's, do you think that this life would be pretty rough? I do. Sin it's what makes up the entire world and death through that, but we can rejoice in a Savior who cleanses us daily and makes us whiter than snow.  I think of it as soap and water. Water = our lives; 

soap = Jesus. We can try all we want to wash ourselves out, we can use cold water, hot water, even luke warm water! The explanations on those is for another time. . .Anyway, water, just water, cleans only the outside appearances. The crumbs if you will. Water doesn't get the caked on muck like the moldy spaghetti that has been sitting in your fridge for three weeks. Water can't clean that! But with a little bit of soap aka Jesus the muck of our life can be cleaned and make us look brand new! What great news this is! Now think. . .Do you only use water or do you believe that soap is the way to clean yourself or not? I like being clean. Thank you Jesus for being the soap in my water, thank You for making me sparkly and brand new.

God is SO great!

Wow how is our God. He is so great, so powerful, and so just. By sin we should all die and burn in the fiery depths of hell but it is by grace that we are saved through faith because of Jesus, God's only son, who died on the cross.  He is our atoning sacrifice for us.  Our mission to spread this great news is to make disciples of  all nations and tell others about Jesus. Ultimately it is the work of the Holy Spirit that does and commits the changing of hearts and minds of the individuals who hear this great news, but we should do our best to share to others the great news of Jesus. How great is our God you ask? So great! How can He even look at me because of my sin? Because He loves you when He looks at you he sees Jesus's sacrifice. Pray to God and thank Him for sending His son for us! Amen. Thank you Father!
